TGRTC Income: In the backdrop of Sankranti festival and frequent holidays, people who are in different areas for education, work and business have been commuting to their homes, hence money has been showered on the organization. Passengers also increased significantly due to the facility of free travel for women in express and Pallavelugu buses.
The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation, anticipating the congestion in advance, has made arrangements accordingly in Karimnagar area. RTC ran 1795 special buses in Karimnagar area from 7th to 19th of this month. So 48 lakh 99 thousand people traveled in RTC buses.
It is noteworthy that among these, 34 lakh 5 thousand are women (69.50 percent). The average OR was 92 percent. Last year, 44.63 lakh people had visited Sankranti, of which 27.98 lakh were Mahalakshmi. Apart from zero tickets, an income of Rs 13.95 crore was received. There has been a significant increase in the number of passengers this time compared to last year.

In view of the possibility of heavy traffic on the occasion of Sankranti, the authorities have made arrangements to reduce it. Additional services were also run along with the regular buses. 855 services were diverted from JBS towards Karimnagar and an additional 940 services were diverted on the return journey. For some days they also brought city buses. Karimnagar RM B did not cause any trouble to the passengers. Raju, Deputy RM, S. Bhupathi Reddy, Satyanarayana and DM have settled in JBS from 11th of this month and Karimnagar bus stand from 15th. Buses were seen moving according to the traffic.
Godavarikhani at first place..
In terms of income during the festival, Godavarikhani, Jagityala and Karimnagar-2 depots are at the first three positions and Husnabad depot is at the last position. In terms of passengers, Godavarikhani, Jagityala, Karimnagar-1 depots are at first, second and third place and Manthani depot is at the last place.

RTC Regional Manager B. Raju said that despite heavy traffic during Sankranti festival, with everyone’s cooperation, the passengers were taken to their destination without any problem. He said that with the cooperation of officers, employees, drivers and conductors of all departments, we have been successful in taking the passengers to their destination safely without any hassle.
He said that compared to last year, more than 48 lakh people have traveled in RTC buses, this time 4 lakh 39 thousand people have traveled in RTC buses. It was announced that Huzurabad, Korutla, Met Palli and Sircilla depots have achieved more than a hundred ORs.
