TGSRTC: Main decision of Telangana RTC Board..Huge funding is given for development of bus stands and depots
The RTC Board has given permission for construction of many new bus depots, bus stations and expansion of bus stations in the state. The RTC board meeting was held at Hyderabad Bus Bhavan on Saturday. Important decisions have been taken regarding new depots and bus stations. It has been decided to develop the bus stands according to the traffic.

1. The Board has approved the construction of a new bus depot at Peddapalli in Peddapalli district by allocating Rs 11.70 crore.
2. Approval has been received by allocating Rs 6.28 crore for the construction of a new bus depot at Ethurunagaram in Mulugu district.
3. For construction of new bus station in Mulugu district Rs. 5.11 crores and the board has given permission.
4. A new bus station at Huzurnagar in Suryapet district at a cost of Rs. RTC Board has taken the decision by allocating Rs 3.75 crore.
5. Rs 10.00 crore has been allocated for the construction of a modern bus station at Madhira in Khammam district.
6. Construction of new bus station at Mangapet in Mulugu district. Rs 51.00 lakh has been allocated by the Board.
7. Allocation of Rs 95.00 lakh for expansion of Peddapalli District Manthani Bus Station.. Permissions have been received.
8. For construction of modern bus station at Kodada in Suryapet district.. Rs. The board has taken the decision by allocating Rs 17.95 crore.
9. In view of the upcoming Saraswati Pushkar, Jaishankar has sanctioned Rs. 10,000 for the construction of a modern bus station at Bhupalpally in Kaleshwaram district. 3.95 crores and RTC Board has given permission.

On this occasion, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that the government will take steps to develop the existing 97 depots and bus stations along with setting up new depots in the state. He clarified that due to the Mahalakshmi scheme, there has been an increase in traffic in RTC buses, construction of new bus stations as well as expansion of existing stations will be done.

‘On one hand, we are buying new buses so that the people of the state do not face any transportation related problems. Also we have focused on building infrastructure. The work on new depots and bus stations approved by the Board should be completed soon. Minister Ponnam Prabhakar said that we have already given orders to RTC officials in this regard.
