Apple said in a proxy filing on Jan. 10 that CEO Tim Cook’s pay will rise from $63.2 million in 2023 to $74.6 million in 2024. The stock award value is higher in this.

In 2024, Tim Cook will receive $3 million in base salary, $58.1 million in stock awards and approximately $13.5 million in additional compensation.

In fact, Apple CEO Tim Cook’s salary will reach $100 million in 2022. This is due to higher stock awards as part of the compensation. However, due to severe criticism from employees and shareholders, Tim Cook reduced his salary. Although the salary has increased significantly from 2023, it is less than that of 2022!

Apple’s board of directors (BoD) said, “There is no change in Cook’s overall target compensation.”

Apple’s retail chief, along with former CFO, COO and general counsel Tim Cook, all other Apple executives will earn a salary of more than $27 million in 2024.

Apple’s decision on diversity program

Meanwhile, shareholders have asked Apple to consider ending the company’s DEI program because it could lead to employee discrimination. However, the company has rejected the proposal, saying it is an unfair attempt to limit Apple’s business activities and that it already fears legal and regulatory risks.
