Transfers of TG teachers: Chief Minister approves transfers of teacher couples, posting time scale for DSC 2008 candidates

TG teacher transfer: The government has given a sweet talk to the teacher couple in Telangana. An important decision has been taken in the matter of transfer of couples which has raised serious concerns in the transfers of teachers. Husband and wife took an important decision to work in the same district.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Thursday approved transfers of spouse teachers and posting of DSC-2008 candidates in Telangana. 317 Due to JVO, the husband and wife have been transferred to different districts, the Ministerial Sub-Committee has given the opportunity to post the husband and wife in the same district. Around 840 teachers across Telangana have applied for permission to work in the same district.

The file containing the list of teachers was recently sent to the Education Chief Minister and he approved it. In a day or two, the General Administration and Education Department will issue a circular for teacher transfers. Teachers unions have expressed happiness after the Chief Minister approved the transfer file of teachers. In the last elections, the issue of transfer of teachers had a significant impact. Teachers also protested on a large scale on this.

They have contract jobs.

The Government has decided to provide jobs with minimum time scale to the candidates who did not get jobs in DSC-2008. At that time, the Congress government decided to do justice to a total of 2,367 B.Ed candidates who did not get jobs. On 24 September 2023, it has been decided that the government will give minimum timescale under the contract system to those who did not get the job at that time due to technical reasons.

The Education Department has suggested that already qualified candidates should check their certificates and give their consent to work as secondary grade teachers under the contract system. About 1800 people responded positively to this. On Thursday, CM Revanth Reddy approved the file to finalize the process of giving early posting to all of them. Contract teachers are given minimum salary. The government is planning to complete the appointments by the end of the academic year this year. They are also considering organizing ad-hoc training programs for contractual teachers.
