UPI New Testament: New Testament in UPI from 1 February .. similar IDs do not work
The new rules for UPI payment will be applicable from 1 February. In today’s digital age, mobile phones will be scanned and purchased for everyday life, milk, curd and vegetables. From 1 February, there will be a major change in payment in this type of ID.
Special character
The National Payments Corporation of India has announced that it will not approve UPI transactions with special letters/symbols from 1 February. A circular was also released on 9 January. According to this circular, only letters and numbers should be used when creating UPI transactions ID. UPI does not accept a special alphabet ID. NPCI informed that $ $, #.^, %, *Should not be used in UPI ID.
The amount is sent ..
If you send the amount to the ID in such a alphabet ID, they will be rejected. In the UPI payment system, Palgone companies and individuals need to convert the ID into the correct format. These changes are being made according to the UPI structure. As part of it, special letters and symbols such as IDs are not allowed.
Growing transactions
The NPCI said that the ID transaction will not be accepted by UPI with special letters from 1 February. UPI payment users have been growing over the years. According to December 2024 data, the number of UPI receipt and payment transactions has reached 16.73 billion.
Only letters, numbers
According to NPCI circular .. UPI IDS with special character will not work from 1 February. Only letters and numbers should be used for UPI ID. Close the ID of the special character. NPCI has already removed the IDS which have not been in use for one year. Follow changes in UPI ID.
