VMC Works: The misuse of the 15th Finance Committee has been misused in Vijayawada. The 15th Finance Committee has given Rs 124 crore to Vijayawada for a five-year period between 2021-26. They have to spend infrastructure and drinking water in the city to improve. Protected fresh water supply pipelines were built long before the entire city Vijayawada. Drinking water is supplied for most of the city’s headwater works in Krishna river. Krishna Waters are supplied to all parts of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation. In hilly areas, fresh water is supplied to the house through an overhead tank. To end this, the construction of new pipelines in areas where drinking water pipelines were built 30–40 years ago.

Immediately after the allocated funds by the 15th Finance Committee in 2021, proposals have been revealed to replace the old pipelines.
