Warangal RTC income: Cash rain for Sankranti festival, Warangal region earns Rs 16.47 crore in the week

Warangal RTC earnings: Sankranti season rains cash for Telangana RTC. 927 special buses were run from Warangal region from 9th to 15th of this month. A total income of Rs 16.47 crore was received.

Revenue of Rs 16.47 crore in seven days

Warangal region has 9 depots, Hanumakonda, Warangal 1, Warangal 2, Parakala, Bhupalappalli, Janagama, Mahabubabad, Narasampeta, Thoruru… RTC has run special buses from 9th to 15th of this month in the backdrop of Sankranti festival.

On the orders of Warangal regional manager Vijaybhanu, a total of 927 buses were run for a distance of 26.61 lakh kilometers during the festival, with a total of 26.42 lakh people traveling during the week. In that the state government provided free bus travel facility to women through Mahalaxmi Yojana, a total of 16.30 lakh women used RTC services.

Meanwhile, while on normal days the income of Warangal region is up to Rs 2 crore, it is noteworthy that in these seven days the income is Rs 16.47 crore. In this, 16.30 lakh people traveling through Mahalaxmi Yojana got an income of Rs 7.6 crore and 10.12 lakh people traveling by paying ticket fee got a profit of Rs 8.86 crore.

Warangal 2 Depot Top

Of the nine depots in the Warangal region, the highest income was collected from the Warangal-2 depot. 4.82 lakh kilometers of buses ran from Warangal 2 depot and an income of Rs 2.86 crore was earned. 3.72 lakh kilometers of buses ran from Warangal 1 depot and a profit of Rs 2.26 crore was made.

Rs 1.98 crore from Hanumakonda Depot, Rs 1.90 crore from Janagama Depot, Rs 1.84 crore from Thorur, Rs 1.64 crore from Bhupalpally Depot, Rs 1.63 crore from Narasampeta Depot, Rs 1.21 crore from Parakala Depot and Rs 1.13 crore from Mahabubabad Depot. If this is the case, then the highest number of 4.36 lakh passengers traveled in buses operated within Hanumakonda depot. The lowest number of 2.43 lakh passengers used RTC services from Thorur depot.

RTC officials say that it is due to collective efforts that special buses have been run under the auspices of RTC. It is being claimed that buses have been diverted by focusing more on busy routes. On the other hand, officials are happy with the huge amount of revenue received by RTC.
