YS Jagan on Tirumala stampede: Everyone including Chandrababu responsible for the stampede – YS Jagan
YCP chief Jagan met the injured in the Tirupati stampede incident. He himself talked to the victims and collected information. After this he talked to the media. Lashed out heavily on the state government. YS Jagan said that the Tirupati incident had never happened in the history of the state. He criticized the fact that security was not provided even though it was known that millions of people would come. He said that this is the government’s mistake.
Lying- YS Jagan
He said, “The last five years were organized brilliantly… Chandrababu is lying that there was a stampede at one place. It is said in the copy of the FIR that one person died in Vishnu Niwas. The FIR mentions the death of five people in Bairagipattera. Six people died in the stampede. 35 people are undergoing treatment in SWIMS. It seems that a total of 50 to 60 people have been injured. The system is being run very poorly. Neither the TTD officials nor the police paid any attention,” YS Jagan fumed.
They are all responsible.
“Such an incident has never happened in the history of the state. CM Chandrababu, TTD Chairman, EO, SP, Collector are all responsible. The victims will get Rs 50 lakh as ex-gratia. Also, Rs. 10,000 will be given for free treatment to the injured. Assistance of Rs 5 lakh should be announced. The government should take full responsibility for this incident. Chief TTD officials including Chief Minister Chandrababu should take responsibility,” Jagan demanded.
“Action should be taken against all those responsible for these deaths. Even in the registered cases, unrelated sections have been imposed. Sections were imposed to weaken the case. At least the government is working honestly. Chandrababu government is working in this way to tarnish the reputation of Tirumala. In the past, he tried to tarnish the reputation of Tirumala by telling many lies about laddus,” criticized YS Jagan.
“Despite all this, CM Chandrababu spoke without courtesy. FIR was also registered by mistake. This is CM Chandrababu’s own district. However, TTD behaved irresponsibly. Knowing that lakhs of devotees will come to Tirupati, how should they be arranged? Neither the officials nor the TTD Chairman thought of taking any security measures. Section 194 of BNS has been imposed on the incident. This is almost certainly false. Section 105 should be registered. After Chandrababu becoming CM, the reputation of TTD is taking a hit. Lies are being spread. Actually TTD is quite famous in crowd management. But today there is a situation of fear to come to Tirumala,” Jagan commented.
