Inavolu Mallanna Jatara 2025: Mallanna Jatara in next three days at Inavolu – Trust Board is..?Lenata..?
The time has come for the famous Shaiva temple of the state, Ainavolu Mallikarjunaswami Mahajatra. Swami’s Brahmotsav will start in the next three days. Every year this fair starts from Sankranti and around 10 lakh devotees can come during the days from Bhogi to Kanuma.
The temple management will have to take the responsibility of making arrangements to reduce the crowd. But since the Ainavolu Temple Trust Board has been embroiled in a court case for the last three years, there is no clarity on the composition of the governing body. If so, then some leaders are claiming to be members of the ruling class, but the authorities have not officially announced the committee. Due to this, there is doubt about whether there is a trust board here or not.
dispute over trust board
During the 2023 fair, a controversy broke out in the temple regarding the trust board announced by the deity department on January 10. When the BRS government was in power, then MLA Aruri Ramesh had earlier promised to give the chairmanship of the temple to his close aide Majjiga Jayapal. In this way, 14 members were selected and a proposal was sent for the formation of the Trust Board. After this, on January 10, the Loan Department issued the order for the formation of the Trust Board.
While it is certain that Majjiga Jaipal will become the chairman, complete preparations have been made to elect him as the chairman. But as per the Endowments Act, persons who are shareholders in the temple should not be given the opportunity to become members of the trust board. But a man named Pilla Srinivas of Hanumakonda approached the state high court because he tried to ignore the rule by giving the post of chairman to Jayapal, who is a shareholder in the temple. As a result, the High Court issued an interim order holding that the Trust Board declared by the Revenue Department was invalid. While the investigation is still ongoing, on August 30 the Revenue Department invited applications for the selection of the new Board of Trustees.
While the matter was going on in the court, the committee members involved in the dispute drew the attention of the Commissioner of the Tax Department that it was not appropriate to invite applications for the selection of the new governing body. And if not selected then they will challenge it in the court. As a result, government leaders and officials also decided to postpone the selection of the trust board until the court’s decision. Meanwhile, the dispute regarding the Trust Board is still going on after the 2023 fair.
Formation of temporary committee..!
Ainavolu Mallikarjunaswamy Jathar starts from Sankranti and continues till Ugadi. While the festivities begin with Bhogi Utsav, devotees from different districts of the state come in large numbers on Bhogi, Sankranti and Kanuma days. Officials estimate that more than 10 lakh devotees will come in these three days alone.
In a fair where devotees gather on such a large scale, the governing body plays an important role in ensuring that the devotees do not face any difficulty. But since the matter of the Trust Board is under the jurisdiction of the court, efforts are being made to form a temporary fair committee. To this extent, it has come to light that the MLA group is planning to declare a person from Vardhanpet as the chairman of the fair committee. Meanwhile, a campaign is also going on at the local level that this committee will be the trust board.
Will the difficulties go away?
Every time during the fair, devotees have to face problems due to lack of proper facilities like toilets, urinals, drinking water etc. Although temporary toilets are built during the fair, they are not sufficient for the people. Cleanliness also remains a big problem in the fair.
Every time the sanitation workers of Panchayats and Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation are working with around 500 people. Due to this, there is an opinion that this time also the devotees will have to face problems during the fair. While the absence of a governing body and the burden on officials has become a problem, demands are also being heard for allocating additional staff and taking appropriate steps to save the devotees from trouble.
