CM Revanth’s review: Underground power cable system in Greater Hyderabad
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to study the installation of underground power cable system in Greater Hyderabad city. It has been suggested to examine the best practices followed in various countries in this regard and submit a report.
Telangana Clean and Green Energy Policy-2025 was unveiled by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka at the Integrated Command Control Center (ICCC). After this the policy was reviewed with the seniors.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy spoke on this occasion. He said that steps need to be taken to bring a completely underground cable system within the Hyderabad Outer Ring Road. He said that along with electrical wires, various types of wires should also be kept underground, for this various options should be considered.
The Chief Minister pointed out that apart from reducing power loss and preventing theft, problems like power cuts due to natural calamities can be addressed through the underground cable system.
Do not interrupt power supply – CM Revanth
On this occasion, the Chief Minister directed the officials to prepare a concrete plan to ensure that the power supply is not disrupted in the coming summer. He reminded that in March last year, the maximum demand in the state had reached 15,623 MW. Officials said that this time it is expected to reach 16,877 MW… He said that the plan should be prepared according to the estimate of maximum power demand. It has been clarified that the demand for electricity for agricultural and domestic needs will be at its peak in the month of March and electricity supply should be ensured accordingly.
CM Revanth Reddy has advised officials to take measures to provide free solar electricity and solar pump sets to tribal families. They want to prepare a complete report by meeting with the concerned departments including Forest Department, Tribal Welfare Department as soon as possible.
Immediate arrangements should be made to install solar power plants at government offices, schools and government buildings. He directed that companies interested in setting up plants should be invited and a plan should be prepared as to how the work will be assigned to them.
Establishment of New Osmania:
CM Revanth Reddy suggested that steps should be taken to lay the foundation stone for the construction of the new Osmania Hospital in Hyderabad city by the end of this month. The plans of the newly constructed Osmania Hospital were reviewed on Saturday.
Details of the proposed site at Goshamahal Police Stadium were asked. The Chief Minister ordered the officials to transfer the place under the jurisdiction of the Police Department to the Medical and Health Department as soon as possible. The process of land transfer and other work between the two departments should be completed as soon as possible.
