South coastal region: The scope of the South Coast Railway Zone, which is installed in Visakhapatnam, is finalized. Visakhapatnam Railway Division has been a part of the new area. The existing Walthar Railway Division has been converted into Visakhapatnam Railway Division. The new railway area includes Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur and Guntakal railway divisions.

On the other hand, Kondapalli Motumari section has also been merged into Vijayawada Division under Sikandpalli Motumari Secondapi Division. The decision for the convenience of governance was taken to such an extent. Kondapalli, located on the outskirts of Vijayawada, is currently part of the Secunderabad Division. It is no longer considered as part of the Vijayawada section until Motumari. The South Coast Railway Zone will be established in a total of 410 km.
