TDP Cadre: Chandrababu is in trouble due to the attitude of TDP cadre, criticism is being received everywhere on social media.
TDP Cadre: Telugu Desam Party President Chandrababu Naidu has not faced much irritation from the main opposition YCP. Even if one or two occasions came, TDP leaders were able to overcome them easily. After the defeat in the general elections, the YCP president tried to go aggressively against the government, but the party cadre did not react much. Even the leaders have become silent due to the feud with the ruling party. Many people have gone into hiding because they have to spend their money.
There was not much opposition from YCP except on social media and after that a large number of police cases were registered to stop the propaganda on social media and the aggression of the opponents also reduced. In this sequence, the TDP chief, who had to be smart, got angry with his own cadre. Leaders of their own party, fans and workers of the party, who supported TDP while in opposition, are venting their anger on social media platforms.
Many social media workers of TDP are criticizing the government forgetting that they are in power. The decisions of the ruling coalition government and the policies taken under the coalition are also wrong. The cadres who have effectively raised the slogans and arguments of the TDP for five years are voicing their discontent just a year before the government comes to power. Some people are blaming YCP and excluding TDP. Forgetting that Chandrababu Naidu is the Chief Minister, he is criticizing the government.
This kind of dissatisfaction has been increasing among the TDP cadre for the past few months. There is a feeling among the workers and lower level leaders that the party leadership is ignoring them. The victims of the YCP government are desperate for compensation. In this sequence, they are not liking the Chief Minister repeatedly warning against such actions. They are not liking the efforts to convince them to focus on development in the interests of the state, what difference will it make if it follows the YCP lines.
Media and social media which are putting the government in trouble
Even the pro-TDP media is full of stories embarrassing the Chandrababu government. Chandrababu is feeling suffocated by the criticism and stories coming from his supporters. At present TDP is running the government in Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with BJP-Janasena. All three parties will have to take policy decisions together. Chandrababu is the Chief Minister and Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is the Deputy Chief Minister. Nara Lokesh is working as a prominent leader in AP government. They participate in most of the decisions taken by the government. Lokesh is active in carrying forward the political legacy of Chandrababu. Efforts are being made to capture government departments.
In this sequence, everyone hopes that after Chandrababu, someday Lokesh will have to take charge of TDP. At the same time, party workers are criticizing the behavior of TDP and blaming the government for pointing out shortcomings, due to which TDP is causing more loss than profit.
All political parties have been using social media extensively for the last ten years since the use of social media started to reach the public. IT professionals have been working extensively on behalf of the CBN Army in the use of social media since 2014. Many people are voluntarily campaigning for Chandrababu on online platforms.
Social media also played a role in the comeback of TDP after the defeat in 2019. It seems that after coming to power in the 2024 elections, TDP supporters on social media are confused about coming to the consciousness of being in the government from the role of opposition. Apart from this, he is also at the forefront of wrong decisions taken by the coalition government.
On many occasions he has been facing criticism from his own party on issues like liquor sale, sand, bureaucracy, government services, education and medicine. He has no hesitation in criticizing whatever the government does not like. As soon as the government was formed, everything started going wrong, from appointments, postings to promotions and transfers of officers. It has become common for everyone to directly criticize Chandrababu’s decisions on social media platforms. In the process they are forgetting that they are cornering Chandrababu without his knowledge.
Decisions like posting of IAS officers, reinstatement of those who played important roles in the previous government, giving posting to the accused, giving responsibility on important posts to the policemen who harassed them are being discussed on social media platforms.
The opposition is on a wait and see policy…
After the defeat in the last elections, YCP President Jagan Mohan Reddy is spending most of his time in Bengaluru. Tadepalli residence is being reviewed from time to time. The district will be visited from the end of January. Jaganmohan Reddy may be happy with the results in TDP. Jagan has not come forward much in Arenals because the TDP faction is the main reason for opposition to the government. If this clarity is not brought among TDP cadres then the problem may become worse in future.
