About Anil Ravipudi Vivah Sankranti Vasthunnam: The latest Telugu movie directed by director Anil Ravipudi is coming on Sankranthi. Starring Vijay Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Choudhary as hero and heroine, the film is produced by Sirish under the direction of Dil Raju.
As a gift of Sankranti, the film Sankranti Annutam is going to be released on 14th January. In this context, director Anil Ravipudi made interesting comments about the film, marriage and openness in the press conference as part of the promotion.
Who suggested the title Sankranti? Did you think this title was just to join the Sankranti race?
-When the story was planned, we unexpectedly started the film festival. F2 with Venkatesh came out on Pongal and was a big hit. F3 is also due to Pongal. But it missed. We thought that the opening of the film should be on Sankranti because anyway, it would be better if the film made this time is released on Pongal.
-But, it was not announced then. This story is about a rescue operation. The second part of the four-day journey will land before Sankranti. When we thought of the story, our title settled on ‘Sankranti Akayam’.
Your promotion has gone viral. The reason for being so active in film promotion?
-The scenario of films has changed after Covid. It is not enough to write a good story and make it great. If people do not come to theaters then the film will not be able to reach. Now the audience has become very selective. I think we can get opening only if our film catches their attention. This time we focused more on social media. Having a big star like Venkatesh playing entertaining roles and making reels helped a lot in promotion.
Whose idea was it to sing with Ramana Gogula?
-When we heard the Godari Gattu tune given by Bheem, we thought it would be good to sing it in a strange voice and we chose Ramana Gogula as the first option. Bhima came to him and started singing. The credit for this goes to Bhima. Ramana Gogula also left his mark. The song which was considered a hit song has become a global song today. Has crossed 85 million views.
The intention behind the ‘don’t say flashback’ dialogue?
– Everyone has a past in their life. If not expression then at least the first crush. If we are asked to remain open even after marriage, its ill effects will start. So it is better to be comfortable in the present rather than stuck in the past (laughs).
Why did Dil Raju do so much under the banner of Gaari?
– I have a trip with him for the film Patas. If I connect with someone, I like to travel with them. Dil Raju and Sirish are family to me. A journey of almost ten years.
